The sport of Hyrox is capturing the attention of urban Indonesians, particularly the youth. As a fitness competition that integrates running with eight functional workout stations, Hyrox offers a unique challenge that comprehensively combines endurance and muscle strength.

The race format requires participants to run a distance of one kilometer, punctuated by one functional workout station during each break. This pattern is repeated eight times until the entire series of the competition is completed. This sports innovation, which originated in Germany in 2017, has now grown rapidly and has begun to be routinely held in various major cities across the country.

This enthusiasm was reflected in the AirAsia Hyrox Jakarta event held at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), Tangerang, recently. One participant, Sara (28), shared that her interest in joining the event stemmed from a desire to test her physical limits, rather than just following a passing trend. Together with her partner, she underwent intensive training at a gym for two months to ensure she was physically prepared for the heavy workout load.

Beyond attracting the general public, Hyrox events in Indonesia are also frequently livened up by the presence of several public figures. Big names like Luna Maya, Ibnu Jamil, and Gisella Anastasia were seen participating, further cementing Hyrox's position as a healthy and competitive lifestyle. For beginners, the key to participating in this competition is not just winning the title, but the ability to complete the entire series of challenges consistently and safely.
