The spirit of sportsmanship filled Gia Rai Ward as the Cluster 3 Sports Festival officially opened. This event serves as a stage for 400 talented athletes from Gia Rai Ward, Lang Tron Ward, and Phong Thanh Commune to showcase their best abilities.
A total of 10 sports disciplines are featured in this festival, ranging from team sports like football and volleyball to technical branches such as badminton, table tennis, chess, pickleball, billiards, athletics, tug of war, and the traditional stick pushing sport. The volleyball tournament served as the opening event for the series of competitions, which were met with great enthusiasm.
Beyond chasing victory, this event aims to echo the national health campaign "All people exercise their bodies following the example of President Ho Chi Minh." The activity is expected to improve the spiritual quality of life as well as the physical health of the community within the cluster.
In addition to serving as a means to improve fitness, this festival is a strategic platform for local governments to strengthen ties between residents. Later, top-performing athletes will be rigorously selected as regional representatives to compete in the 1st Ca Mau Provincial Sports Festival in 2026.
