The domestic automotive market is increasingly crowded with various environmentally friendly technology options, ranging from Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), Range Extender Electric Vehicles (REEVs), to Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). Nevertheless, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) chooses to remain consistent in relying on Mild Hybrid technology to meet the needs of Indonesian consumers.

This step was taken not due to a reluctance to innovate, but as a result of careful consideration of the characteristics of local consumers. Suzuki believes that the suitability of the technology to the real conditions of the community, the readiness of supporting infrastructure, and the long-term cost of ownership are crucial determining factors during this electrification transition period.

Randy R. Murdoko, Marketing & Value Chain 4W Department Head of PT SIS, explained that each automotive manufacturer has a unique approach to facing the era of environmentally friendly vehicles. According to him, Mild Hybrid technology remains the most ideal solution for the majority of Suzuki customers, especially in providing fuel efficiency without sacrificing daily practicality.

Furthermore, Suzuki also prioritizes the ease of after-sales service for vehicle owners. With a service network already widespread across various regions, the implementation of Mild Hybrid technology ensures that consumers will have no trouble obtaining technical maintenance or spare parts, while keeping vehicle operating costs pocket-friendly.
