The Association of Islamic University Students (HMI) Medical Commissariat of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) is preparing to organize a community service event in Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) Regency. The activity, scheduled for July 25 to 26, 2026, aims to bring medical services closer to local residents.
In this social event, the organizers will present a series of service programs, including free basic health checks, education on healthy lifestyles, and mass circumcision services for children. Currently, the determination of the specific location for the activities is still in the final coordination stage.
This humanitarian collaboration plan was formally discussed in an audience meeting between representatives of HMI Medical Unhas and the Vice Regent of Sidrap, Nurkanaah. The meeting took place at the Vice Regent's official residence in Pangkajene.
Representative of the HMI Medical Commissariat of Unhas, Muhammad Fadhil Arhab, explained that this initiative is a concrete manifestation of student dedication to supporting the improvement of public health quality. Through this program, they hope to help the community by providing inclusive and easily accessible medical services.
Responding to this, the Vice Regent of Sidrap, Nurkanaah, expressed high appreciation for the students' concern. The local government is fully committed to facilitating and overseeing the running of this event so that it goes smoothly and hits the target.
"The Sidrap Regency Government welcomes this program. We will immediately instruct the relevant departments to assist and coordinate intensively, so that the field implementation can provide the maximum benefit to the wider community," concluded Nurkanaah.
