Gorontalo Province has officially been designated to host the scientific event series titled Perkumpulan Gastroenterologi Indonesia (PGI) Outreach 3: Reaching Across the GI Continuum. The arrival of medical experts and practitioners from across the country was warmly welcomed at Djalaluddin Airport by the Gorontalo Provincial Government through the Health, Population Control, and Family Planning Agency (Dinkes P2KB) along with the Gorontalo Branch of PAPDI.

The Head of the Public Health Division of Dinkes P2KB Gorontalo Province, Syafiin S. Napu, stated that this event is a crucial momentum for the region in strengthening interprofessional healthcare collaboration. The meeting features scientific discussions, webinars, and capacity-building sessions focusing on innovative management of digestive tract and liver health issues, or gastroenterology-hepatology.

Syafiin emphasized that the active involvement of the local government in supporting this scientific agenda reflects an ongoing commitment to improving the quality of healthcare services. By sharing knowledge and experience among specialists, it is hoped that regional healthcare professionals will be able to implement early detection and more effective disease management based on the latest scientific evidence.

The organization of PGI Outreach 3 is seen as aligned with the standards of Continuing Medical Education (CME), which is vital for updating clinical medical practices. Furthermore, this initiative is expected to expand the network between professional organizations, local governments, and healthcare facilities to build a more resilient healthcare system in the future.
