The Governor of Central Kalimantan, Agustiar Sabran, officially handed over assistance in the form of sports equipment to several former volleyball athletes who had achieved proud accomplishments for the region. The handover took place at the Multipurpose Sports Hall (GOR), Palangka Raya City, on Friday (3/7/2026).
This initiative is a form of the provincial government's appreciation for the contributions of sports heroes who have fought to bring honor to the name of Central Kalimantan in competitions. The provision of this assistance is expected to serve as a stimulant for former athletes to remain active in maintaining physical fitness and continue contributing to the mentoring of the younger generation in the sports sector.
In addition to being a form of appreciation for past dedication, this step also aims to motivate the emergence of new potential talents. The local government hopes that through the support of adequate facilities, the sports ecosystem in Central Kalimantan will become more vibrant and capable of producing outstanding athletes ready to compete at the national and international levels.
