The management of the Indonesian Handball Association (ABTI) of Tabalong Regency for the 2026-2030 term was officially inaugurated. The inauguration ceremony, led directly by the management of the South Kalimantan Province ABTI, took place solemnly at the Wahyu 99 Depot Hall on Friday, June 3, 2026.
Gusti Judid Ihsan Permana, appointed as the new leader of ABTI Tabalong, emphasized that his organization's top priority is to boost the presence of handball in Bumi Saraba Kawa. According to him, the sport still requires broader introduction so it can be accepted and enjoyed by all levels of society.
The strategy to introduce handball will target the educational environment, from elementary to high school levels. This step is considered crucial not only as a means of promotion, but also to scout potential young athletes projected to bring pride to Tabalong at provincial and national levels through regional championships.
Furthermore, Gusti Judid emphasized the importance of teamwork in running the organization. He hopes that all committee members, who come from diverse professional backgrounds, can unite their vision and work in synergy to implement programs for the advancement of handball achievements in the Tabalong region.
