The City Youth, Student, and University Student Association (HIPPMAKOT) of Kendari is now officially present as a new platform for the younger generation in the capital of Southeast Sulawesi. The organization was formed with a primary vision to serve as both a strategic partner and a social watchdog for the Kendari City Government in guiding the direction of regional development.

During its founding declaration, the management of HIPPMAKOT emphasized their commitment to providing tangible contributions through constructive ideas and solutions. The organization's main focus is directed toward the education sector, highlighting the need for equitable access to scholarships, adequate student dormitories, and competitive human resource development.

In addition to education, the health sector is also a serious concern for the organization. HIPPMAKOT urges the local government to accelerate the response to infectious diseases such as HIV, dengue fever, and tuberculosis. According to them, strengthening health services and public education must be carried out intensively and sustainably.

The General Chairperson of HIPPMAKOT Kendari, Muhammad Dzuljalli Wal Ikhram, emphasized that their presence is not merely to criticize, but to build a productive space for dialogue. He hopes the government will remain open to input from various elements of society so that the policies enacted are targeted and effective.

Furthermore, HIPPMAKOT invites all youth and students in Kendari to play an active role in development through scientific research and social action. This step is expected to strengthen the synergy between the government and the youth to create a more advanced and highly competitive Kendari City.
