Labuhanbatu Regency is currently unsettled by the alleged widespread distribution of narcotics controlled by a man with the initial D, also known as Dendy. This figure is rumored to be the main actor behind the distribution of crystal meth as well as a new narcotics product in the form of Etomidate Pods, which are often referred to as "Vibrating Pods" (PG) by users in nightclubs.
Dendy's maneuvers in the illegal drug trade are considered quite clever, and he has yet to be touched by law enforcement agencies. Based on activity mapping, the illegal business is allegedly centered in Gang Bengkel, Jalan Nenas, Padang Bulan Sub-district, North Rantau District, and has now expanded to target nightclub visitors in the Jalan Baru area, Rantauprapat.
According to witness accounts on the ground, the distribution of Etomidate Pods is carried out through a personal ordering system, with prices ranging from IDR 1.6 million to IDR 2 million per unit. Some of the brands allegedly in circulation include El Capo and Gangster. This private marketing strategy is believed to be a new method of expanding the narcotics market reach in the region.
This situation has triggered strong demands from the local community, calling for firm action from the police. The public hopes that the Chief of Labuhanbatu Police, AKBP Wahyu Endrajaya, along with the Head of the Labuhanbatu Police Narcotics Unit, AKP Hardiyanto, will immediately conduct a more intensive investigation to uncover and dismantle Dendy's network to protect the younger generation from the threat of drug abuse.
