A fatal traffic accident occurred on Jalan Raya Mercedes Benz, Pabuaran Hamlet, Cicadas Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, on Monday (6/7/2026) night. The unfortunate incident involved a motorcyclist with the initials FNA who died at the scene.
Acting Head of the Law Enforcement Unit of the Bogor Police Traffic Corps, Police Inspector Ares Rahman, explained that the incident began around 7:00 PM WIB. At that time, the victim, riding a Honda Vario motorcycle with registration number F 4317 FBC, was traveling from the direction of Wanaherang towards Cicadas.
Upon arriving at the scene, the victim attempted to overtake a box truck directly in front of him by taking the right side of the road. However, the maneuver ended tragically when the victim braked suddenly, causing his motorcycle to slide into the right lane.
"The victim fell and hit another vehicle coming from the opposite direction, whose identity is unknown. As a result of the impact, the victim suffered severe injuries to the jaw and right hand and was declared dead at the scene," Ares said.
After the incident, the motorist from the opposite direction immediately left the scene. The police are currently conducting further investigation to identify the mysterious vehicle. The victim's body has been evacuated to Abdul Radjak Hospital for further handling.
