The Achievement Sports Club (KOP) Petanque of the State University of Jakarta (UNJ) successfully achieved a glorious performance by bringing home three bronze medals from the 2026 National Student Sports Games Invitation. This prestigious intercollegiate competition across Indonesia took place at the GOR Cendrawasih Petanque Court from July 20 to 23, 2026.
The three bronze medals were won in three different event categories. In the Women's Doubles category, the pair Dzikriyah Mustaghfiroh and Meutia Hairima contributed the first medal. Meanwhile, the Men's Doubles category followed through the performance of the duet Muhammad Fachri Afrizal and Ramdani. This achievement was topped off by the Men's Triples category, represented by Muhammad Fachri Afrizal, Tri Medya Gusmiarni, and Ramdani.
Responding to this achievement, the Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) UNJ, Prof. Nofi Marlina Siregar, expressed her highest appreciation to the athletes and coaching team. According to her, this success proves the effectiveness of the student sports development system within FIKK UNJ, which runs in a sustainable and competitive manner.
"We are proud of the unyielding spirit shown by the KOP Petanque UNJ athletes. This national-level achievement is expected to be a stepping stone and a strong motivation to continue increasing training intensity to achieve higher results in future competitions, both nationally and internationally," said Prof. Nofi.
The Chairman of KOP Petanque UNJ, Muhammad Fachri Afrizal, added that this achievement was the fruit of the collective hard work of the entire team. For him, this national event was not merely about chasing podium prestige, but a crucial platform to hone their competitive mentality and gain experience facing tough opponents from various regions across the country.
