An inspiring story comes from Jalian Setiarsa, the founder of the culinary MSME "It's Me Time" from Sidoarjo, East Java. Starting from a home kitchen in 2017 with limited production capacity, this sticky rice brownie business has now successfully transformed into a global food product exporter, thanks to a strategic collaboration with BRI.

The transformation journey began when Arso, as he is familiarly called, started establishing a banking relationship with BRI in 2018. Not only providing access to financing, BRI provided comprehensive mentoring through Rumah BUMN. This program includes improving business governance, production standardization, and modern, targeted marketing strategies.

The results of this intensive mentoring were significant. It's Me Time successfully met various quality standards, including Halal certification, PIRT, SNI, and the international food safety standard, HACCP. This became the key for the MSME to increase its production capacity from hundreds of pieces to tens of thousands of pieces per month.

This success also led to achievements on the international stage. Through participation in prestigious events like Brilianpreneur and Trade Expo Indonesia, these sticky rice brownie products successfully entered export markets in various countries, ranging from Turkey, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, to Malaysia.

Senior Executive Vice President of Ultra Micro Business at BRI, M. Candra Utama, emphasized that sustainable mentoring is part of BRI's commitment to driving the people's economy. BRI's main focus is to increase the capacity of MSMEs so that they are not only able to survive in the local market but also competitive on the international stage.
