JAKARTA – The Pontianak City Government is fully committed to accelerating bureaucratic transformation to deliver public services that are faster, more transparent, and accountable. This commitment was reinforced following a coordination meeting between the West Kalimantan Regional Secretaries Forum (Forsesda) and the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Rini Widyantini, in Jakarta.
Pontianak City Regional Secretary, Amirullah, emphasized that the digitalization of public services should not merely be an opportunity to create new applications that confuse the public. A crucial first step is to simplify business processes so that the bureaucratic flow becomes more concise and integrated across regional agencies. Furthermore, increasing the capacity and integrity of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) based on the core values of "BerAKHLAK" is the region's top priority.
As a concrete manifestation of this digitalization, the Organization Department of the Pontianak City Regional Secretariat has begun fully implementing the Online Community Satisfaction Survey (SKM) application across all Public Service Units (UPP). This new system replaces conventional survey methods in alignment with instructions from the Ministry of PANRB. Through Online SKM, community assessment data will be directly integrated into the central system to minimize manual manipulation.
The Head of the Organization Department of the Pontianak City Regional Secretariat, Margaretha, reminded operators in each unit to routinely monitor incoming data to maintain the accuracy of service evaluations. This step is expected to maintain or even increase the Pontianak City Community Satisfaction Index, which reached 93 last year.
On the other hand, the internal strengthening of the government is also carried out through leadership harmonization. Deputy Mayor of Pontianak, Bahasan, emphasized the importance of synergy between regional heads and deputy regional heads at the Deputy Regional Leaders Association (ASWAKADA) forum in Batam. Solid synergy is considered the main foundation for regional development programs to run effectively and directly impact public welfare.
