Students of the Field Learning Practice (PBL) III from the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) at Hasanuddin University successfully held a final seminar to mark the end of their community service period in Manorang Salo Subdistrict, Soppeng Regency. The event, held at the local Education Department's UPTD Hall, served as a forum for reflection on the implementation of the program themed "Moving Together to Realize a Healthy and Clean Manorang Salo," abbreviated as SERASI.

During its execution, the students adopted the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. This method focuses on optimizing the local assets and resources already possessed by the community to drive health empowerment in the region.

The PBL III Village Coordinator, Alya Putri Sangker, explained that there are four main pillars in the SERASI program. The program includes education on household waste management, socialization on the prevention of hypertension and diabetes mellitus, the activation of the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) gymnastics, as well as free health check-up initiatives and regular community clean-up activities.

Furthermore, Alya emphasized that program sustainability is the primary focus for her team. By actively involving the residents, it is hoped that this initiative will not stop with the end of the PBL period, but will instead continue as a community lifestyle. The evaluation compiled during the activities is expected to serve as a guide for residents in designing independent health strategies in the future.
