The dynamics of the mobile device market in Indonesia during the first half of 2026 show quite significant price changes across Samsung's product lineup. Based on comparison data between January and July 2026, the majority of models still remaining on the market have undergone upward price adjustments, triggered by product line refreshes and shifts in technical specifications.
In the entry-level segment, the Galaxy A07 series experienced a fairly conspicuous price structure change. The LTE variant with 4GB/128GB RAM capacity, which was originally marketed at IDR 1.65 million in January, has now risen to IDR 2.4 million. Similarly, the 6GB/128GB RAM variant experienced a price jump from IDR 1.95 million to IDR 2.8 million in the July 2026 period.
A more substantial increase occurred in the mid-range Galaxy A17 line. The Galaxy A17 LTE 8GB/128GB variant experienced an increase of IDR 1 million from its early-year price of IDR 3 million. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A17 5G model with 8GB/256GB storage capacity surged to IDR 5 million, after previously being sold for IDR 3.7 million.
On the other hand, for the premium device category, Samsung tended to maintain price stability. The Galaxy S25 Ultra 256GB remained at the price level of IDR 23 million. The presence of its latest successor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, priced at IDR 25 million, is considered a balancing factor that keeps the price of the older model competitive as an alternative option for consumers.
Strategically, Samsung was observed not to offer official discounts for models still available in the catalog as of July 2026. Instead, the company chose to discontinue older models like the A16, A26, and A56 series, replacing them with successors in a more premium price range, reaching the IDR 6 million to IDR 8 million range for the Galaxy A37 and A57 lines.
