PT Asuransi Maximus Graha Persada Tbk, known as Maximus Insurance, has completed the process of transferring the company's Sharia Business Unit (UUS) portfolio to two other insurance entities, namely PT Asuransi Takaful Umum and PT Sinar Mas Asuransi Syariah. This strategic move was formalized through the signing of official documents in Jakarta on July 3, 2026.

President Director of Maximus Insurance, Jemmy Atmadja, explained that this policy is part of the company's efforts to align its business structure and focus on main operations. This step is also a form of compliance with government regulations regarding the implementation of Sharia insurance in Indonesia, while ensuring that the portfolio transition prioritizes policyholders' rights.

During this transition process, PT Asuransi Takaful Umum and PT Sinar Mas Asuransi Syariah are committed to ensuring service continuity for customers. Both companies emphasized that the management of the acquired portfolio will continue to adhere to strict Sharia principles as well as transparent and professional corporate governance.

Maximus Insurance's Sharia Unit itself has been operating since 2013 and was once one of the Sharia-based protection providers in the country. With the completion of this transfer phase, Maximus Insurance stated that all rights and obligations of customers remain protected in accordance with applicable legal provisions, while opening opportunities for the company to strengthen its position in the conventional insurance market.

The management of Maximus Insurance expressed appreciation to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and all strategic partners involved. They view the completion of this process as an important milestone for the health of the company's business structure in the future, aiming to create greater value for stakeholders.
