Search efforts for two teenagers from Krinjing Hamlet, Krinjing Village, namely Arifin Nurohmat (18) and Yufaidin (15), continue to intensify as the operation enters its sixth day. A joint team consisting of the TNI, Police, Basarnas, as well as hundreds of volunteers and local residents are still combing the slopes of Mount Bismo to track the whereabouts of the two.

The two teenagers were reported missing after they were last seen leaving their home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, with the intention of climbing Mount Bismo via the Rejosari Hamlet route. Although independent searches by the family had been conducted from the start, no trace of the two teenagers has been found so far.

The search operation on Saturday (11/7/2026) involved large-scale personnel, including six members of Koramil 02/Watumalang led by Pelda Sriwiyono, dozens of police officers, a Basarnas team, and support from 245 Krinjing residents. The search was carried out systematically along the climbing routes and points considered vulnerable in the mountain forest area.

Dandim 0707/Wonosobo, Lt. Col. Inf. Yoyok Suyitno S.Sos., expressed his appreciation for the dedication of all parties involved in this humanitarian mission. He emphasized that TNI personnel in the field will continue to make maximum efforts to assist in the evacuation process until both victims are found.

The plan is for the operation to continue by expanding the scope of the search area based on technical recommendations from the SAR team. Authorities urge anyone with even the slightest information regarding the whereabouts of the two teenagers to immediately report it to the search post or local officials to accelerate the recovery process.
