President Joko Widodo's step to officially begin his political safari with the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) on Friday (26/06/2026) has triggered in-depth analysis from various observers. This maneuver is seen as Jokowi's strategic effort to secure his political position and influence after his presidential term.
Triaspols Executive Director, Agung Baskoro, highlighted that PSI is currently in a phase of searching for a central figure capable of boosting the party's popularity. With Jokowi's track record of successfully winning two presidential election terms with significant votes, his presence is believed to be a catalyst for the growth of the party with the elephant logo.
On the other hand, Wahyutama, a Senior Researcher from the Paramadina Public Policy Institute, provided a more specific view regarding internal control.
