Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, Ph.D., delivered strategic insights on the importance of integrating science, technology, and faith in the development of education. He stated this while delivering a Dawn Lecture (Kuliah Subuh) organized by the Al Azhar Islamic Pesantren Foundation (YPI) at the Al Azhar Grand Mosque, Jakarta, on Saturday (11/7/2026).
The event, attended by the leadership of YPI Al Azhar and the academic community of Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI), highlighted that a nation's progress cannot rely solely on academic and technological mastery. Prof. Brian emphasized that the quality of true education must rest on a strong moral foundation in order to produce a generation of character with high social responsibility.
Furthermore, he highlighted that every child's potential is a great asset for the nation's future. Therefore, educators are urged to provide balanced guidance, combining intellectual intelligence with the instillation of moral values. According to Prof. Brian, a student's success is not determined by intelligence alone, but is the result of hard work, perseverance, and prayer as a form of reliance on God.
Responding to the message, Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing its educational mission. Through the spirit of an *Enterprising University*, UAI continues to strive to create an adaptive and innovative learning ecosystem while remaining grounded in Islamic values, ensuring its graduates can make a tangible contribution to the advancement of society and the nation.
