Welcoming the momentum of National Children's Day on July 23, Netflix officially hosted the 'Netflix Family Festival 2026: World of Wonder'. The event was designed as a strategic meeting platform for families, local and international content creators, policymakers, and industry practitioners to explore the vital role of storytelling in shaping imagination and strengthening family bonds.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria, in his speech emphasized the urgency of providing quality content amid today's high digital consumption among children. According to him, access to family-friendly entertainment must be balanced with a strong commitment to creating a safe digital space ecosystem for children's growth and development.

Nezar added that this Netflix initiative aligns with the government's agenda to strengthen child protection in the cyber realm, including through the implementation of related policies. The festival is considered an educational medium for parents to use parental control features more wisely, ensuring that every show consumed by children retains positive and educational value.

In addition to safety aspects, the festival also highlights Netflix's commitment to empowering creative talent in Indonesia. Through a series of training and skill development programs, local filmmakers are encouraged to produce global-standard children's programming. This collaboration is expected to foster a trusted digital environment while nurturing national creative economy potential in the future.
