The Mojokerto City Government continues to strive to maximize the potential of regional assets by revitalizing the function of the Gunung Gedangan Rest Area. The area, which initially served only as a temporary transit spot, has now transformed into a dynamic public space combining local economic activities, artistic expression, and public entertainment.

This strategic step is part of the local government's commitment to encouraging productive collaboration between Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), art communities, and the general public. Through this restructuring, regional assets are expected to provide concrete benefit values to the local economy.

Head of the Office of Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises, Industry, and Trade (Diskopukmperindag) of Mojokerto City, Amin Wachid, explained that the second floor of the area is now used as an MSME center and art market. Various featured local products ranging from traditional culinary delights, paintings, to fine art works are marketed directly in this area to open up new business opportunities.

In addition to being a hub for economic activity, this rest area also offers regular entertainment in the form of live music performances every Wednesday. The presence of these live music shows serves as a unique attraction capable of increasing public visitations, which directly has a positive impact on boosting traders' turnover.

The Mojokerto City Government stated that it will continue to conduct ongoing evaluations and facility developments. These improvement efforts are targeted at creating a representative and comfortable public space capable of becoming one of the driving pillars of welfare for the people of Mojokerto.
