The organizing committee of the 50th North Sumatra Fair (PRSU) clarified the admission ticket price policy, which recently drew public attention. The organizers emphasized that the fee paid by visitors is not just for access, but a direct contribution to driving the creative economy and preserving cultural heritage in North Sumatra.
Farah, a public relations representative for PRSU 2026, explained that the event, located in the Tapian Daya area of Medan, has transformed with a new look. Its main focus is no longer just entertainment, but as a promotional platform for local artists and MSME actors who have undergone a strict curation process to ensure better quality standards.
Data shows that 75 percent of the content presented throughout the event is the work of local creators. With this proportion, the committee views public support through admission tickets as crucial to maintaining the viability of the regional creative ecosystem so it remains productive and sustainable.
In addition to economic and cultural aspects, the committee emphasized that the ticket price adjustment was carefully calculated to guarantee security standards, facility comfort, and the quality of the programs presented. This step was taken to ensure visitors have a valuable experience while enjoying the series of activities at the 50th PRSU.
