The South Lampung Regency Government is seriously taking strategic steps to overhaul the regional sanitation system. The government's main focus at present is to accelerate the implementation of the Scheduled Fecal Sludge Management Service (LLTT) as a concrete effort to sustainably improve the standard of living and health of residents.
Regent of South Lampung, Radityo Egi Pratama, emphasized that sanitation is a fundamental pillar with a direct impact on the prevention of environmental-based diseases. In a meeting with BPBPK Lampung on Thursday (9/7/2026), the Regent stated that improving access to proper sanitation will be a top priority for the regional government moving forward.
In response to this, Regent Radityo has instructed all relevant regional apparatuses to immediately follow up on the technical recommendations that have been prepared. This step aims to ensure that the LLTT operational system can run optimally soon and that its benefits can be felt by the broader community in the region.
Head of BPBPK Lampung, Achmad Irawan Kusuma, added that intensive assistance has been carried out, covering the drafting of regulations, standard operating procedures, and institutional strengthening. He is optimistic that this synergy will create safer domestic waste management and preserve environmental sustainability in South Lampung Regency.
This collaboration between the regional government and relevant agencies is expected to deliver a more professional public service. With an integrated system, South Lampung Regency aims to achieve safe sanitation to realize a healthier and more prosperous society in the future.
