The Samarinda City Government has reaffirmed its commitment to placing the public health insurance program as a top priority in the regional development agenda. The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Samarinda City, Neneng, stated that equitable health insurance is an important pillar in achieving citizen welfare.
This step was taken to ensure that all levels of the Samarinda community, especially vulnerable and underprivileged groups, receive decent medical services without being burdened by financial issues. The Samarinda City Government is currently focusing on budget reinforcement and synchronizing health insurance membership data so that the program is well-targeted.
In addition to focusing on funding guarantees, Regional Secretary Neneng also instructed all relevant health institutions, ranging from community health centers (puskesmas) to regional hospitals, to continuously improve the quality of excellent service. Cooperation with BPJS Kesehatan is also being strengthened to simplify bureaucracy and accelerate patient handling processes.
With this commitment, the Samarinda City Government hopes that the people's quality of life can continue to improve significantly. Citizens who need further information regarding health insurance membership can visit the information service center at the Samarinda City Hall Building, Jalan Kesuma Bangsa No. 82.
