The Pariaman City Government strengthened its collaboration and synergy with the Naval Area Command (Kodaeral) II Padang through a joint sports activity. The event, held at the Rajo Bujang Sports Hall (GOR) and Tennis Court on Friday (26/6/2026), involved regional leadership elements and staff members from both institutions.
Mayor of Pariaman, Yota Balad, led the city government delegation accompanied by Deputy Mayor Mulyadi and Regional Secretary Afrizal Azhar. According to Yota, this initiative is not merely an event to maintain physical fitness, but a strategic step to build more fluid and harmonious communication between departments and defence institutions.
"Solid collaboration between the Pariaman City Government and Kodaeral II is the main key to providing maximum service to the community. Sports are an effective medium for building cohesion and solidarity in facing future regional challenges," said Yota Balad in his statement.
Echoing these sentiments, Commander of Kodaeral II Padang, Rear Admiral Sarimpunan Tanjung, stated that this activity is a concrete manifestation of the TNI's support for local development programs. His side is committed to continuously strengthening working relationships for the welfare of the Pariaman community.
A warm and friendly atmosphere enveloped the entire series of activities. The friendly tennis and badminton matches were further enlivened by musical entertainment performed by Pariaman City Government staff and Kodaeral II personnel, reflecting the spirit of collaboration in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
