PT Chandra Daya Investasi Tbk (CDIA), a company under the auspices of tycoon Prajogo Pangestu, has once again carried out a strategic expansion to strengthen its business structure. Through its subsidiary, PT Chandra Shipping International (CSI), the company announced an investment of US$90 million or equivalent to Rp1.61 trillion to acquire a 40 percent stake in PT Armada Maritim Persada (AMP).

Based on information gathered from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the agreement is outlined in a Conditional Agreement signed by CSI alongside PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk and PT AMP in late June 2026. This step reflects the group's commitment to expanding its operational reach in the shipping and logistics sector, which is deemed to have promising long-term growth potential.

CDIA management explained that this capital injection aims not only to strengthen the company's position in the maritime market, but also as a strategy to create added value for shareholders. The company projects economic benefits through potential recurring income from dividends along with the business development to be carried out by PT AMP post-transaction.

This maritime expansion complements a series of strategic steps by the group to strengthen integrated industrial infrastructure. Previously, CDIA through PT Redeco Petrolin Utama (RPU) had also constructed a bitumen storage tank facility with a total capacity of 12,000 cubic meters. The facility is projected to start operating in the third quarter of 2026 to support national bitumen supply needs.

With the operation of various new assets, including the addition of storage capacity which now reaches 75 tanks, the CDIA group is further consolidating its position in the ecosystem supporting the petrochemical, petroleum, and shipping sectors in Indonesia. All of these efforts are part of the company's long-term vision to become a key player in the development of sustainable economic infrastructure.
