Chief of South Kalimantan Regional Police, Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan, officially inaugurated the operations of dr. Yusuf Wibandoko Bhayangkara Hospital located in the heart of Banjarbaru City. This healthcare facility is presented as a representation of the National Police's commitment to expanding the reach of public services, not only in the security sector but also in fulfilling crucial public health needs.
In his statement on Friday (10/7/2026), the Police Chief emphasized that the presence of Bhayangkara Hospital in Banjarbaru aims to cut barriers to public access to fast and quality medical services. This development is also in line with directives from the Head of the Police Medical and Health Center (Kapusdokkes) to continuously optimize the quality of health services across various regions.
Regarding operations, the police ensured that services at Bhayangkara Hospital in Banjarmasin will continue to run normally in parallel. Currently, administration to establish Bhayangkara Hospital Banjarbaru as an independent hospital entity is being processed at the National Police Headquarters to ensure smooth future development of the facility.
Interestingly, the police are preserving the old building in the front of the hospital complex as a form of cultural heritage preservation. Inspector General Rosyanto added that the historic building is planned to be managed for commercial activities supporting hospital operations, without relinquishing the historical value inherent in its original structure.
