The South Tangerang (Tangsel) City Government has once again innovated to strengthen primary healthcare services for the community through the 'Ngider Sehat Premium' program. This program is an evolution of the active outreach service that has been running since 2021, now upgraded to include the presence of doctors and advanced medical equipment such as ultrasound and ECG machines directly at residents' homes.
The Mayor of South Tangerang, Benyamin Davnie, emphasized that this initiative is designed to demonstrate the government's presence in removing barriers to medical access. With a door-to-door approach, the government aims to reach vulnerable groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, pregnant women, and residents with limited mobility so they can receive medical treatment without having to travel to health facilities.
More than just a treatment service, 'Ngider Sehat Premium' also prioritizes promotional and preventive aspects through early detection. The presence of professional medical personnel allows for more comprehensive health monitoring, ranging from routine checks of blood sugar and cholesterol levels to educating the wider public on clean and healthy lifestyles.
Through this program, the Tangsel City Government aims to accelerate the early detection of various non-communicable diseases, cases of which tend to be on the rise. This step is also a key regional strategy to ensure that the basic right to quality healthcare services can be enjoyed equally by all residents, without exception.
Benyamin added that the past success of Ngider Sehat serves as the main motivation to keep improving service quality. Moving forward, the Tangsel City Government is committed to making this service a model of public service that is humane, responsive, and directly addresses the health needs of the community within their residential environments.
