BPJS Kesehatan has officially reinforced its commitment to providing inclusive healthcare services by launching the Layanan Ujung Negeri (Lanuri) program. This initiative focuses on breaking down access barriers for residents in frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions who have historically faced geographical limitations and digital infrastructure constraints.
To achieve this goal, BPJS Kesehatan relies on two primary methods: the Virtual Office for Information and Administration Services (Viola) and proactive outreach via Mobile BPJS. Viola serves as a videoconferencing-based service channel that allows the public to interact directly with staff for real-time handling of membership administration and complaints. These facilities are strategically placed in village offices, district sub-offices, and local community health centers (Puskesmas).
President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito, recognized that the adoption of digital technology remains uneven across the nation due to data communication network limitations. Therefore, Mobile BPJS services operate in parallel to target communities unfamiliar with digital devices while ensuring administrative services remain directly accessible to residents in remote locations.
Data shows that between January and May 2026, the Viola service was utilized by more than 218,000 participants, with the majority belonging to the Health Insurance Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI JK) segment. The implementation of Lanuri itself has now reached 558 points across regencies and cities in Indonesia, involving cross-sector collaboration to ensure service continuity.
The government, through the Ministry of Cooperatives, expressed its appreciation for this breakthrough. The synergy established with the Merah Putih Village Cooperative is expected to catalyze effective service distribution at the grassroots level. Internet infrastructure support and village cooperative networks are deemed capable of optimizing the program's reach so its benefits can truly be felt by all segments of Indonesian society.
