BATANG — The mountain slope area of Tombo Village, Bandar District, Batang Regency, offers captivating natural charm wrapped in thin mist and cool highland air. In this region, known as one of the centers for robusta coffee, tourists can now enjoy the fragrant aroma of freshly brewed local coffee, blending harmoniously with the tranquility of the pine forest.
Embracing the concept of a hidden gem (hidden gem), the Kopi Sidawung coffee shop serves as a new attraction for travelers and coffee lovers. Located in the peak area of Tombo Village, the shop, which has been operating for about a year and a half, offers a relaxing experience amid a still pristine natural landscape.
Mujahidin, one of the shop's managers, revealed that all coffee served comes directly from the harvest of local community farms. The shop is committed to introducing local biodiversity by providing various coffee varieties ranging from robusta, arabica, to excelsa, all cultivated in Tombo Village.
The decision to set up the shop in the pine forest area was deliberate, aiming to provide a soothing recreational alternative for urban dwellers. In addition to its refreshing atmosphere, this destination is also budget-friendly as it does not charge an entry fee. Visitors only pay for the food or drinks ordered, with prices ranging from IDR 25,000 to IDR 50,000.
This coffee tourism destination often sees a surge in visitors on weekends, with tourists coming not only from Batang Regency but also from neighboring areas. The presence of Kopi Sidawung is expected to bolster the promotion of local coffee commodities while driving the creative economy through collaboration among the agricultural, tourism, and local MSME sectors.
