The Sarolangun Resort Police (Polres) has taken a firm stance regarding the operation of nightlife venues within the jurisdiction of Sarolangun Regency. Sarolangun Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Wendi Oktariansyah, S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that all forms of nightlife activities are strictly prohibited from operating.

This statement was delivered as a form of the police's commitment to enforcing applicable Local Regulations (Perda). This step was taken as a joint effort with the local government to maintain security stability, public order, and to preserve religious values and social norms adhered to by the local community.

Following up on these instructions, the police have ordered all ranks down to the sub-district police (Polsek) level in each district to increase supervision. Field officers are required to conduct routine monitoring and will not hesitate to take firm action against businesses found violating this rule.

Furthermore, the Police Chief explained that this policy aims to create a conducive environment while protecting the younger generation from negative influences that nightlife venues are prone to causing. His department is committed to continuing to coordinate with the district government, village governments, and all elements of society to ensure the effectiveness of rule enforcement for the common welfare.
