Welcoming its 6th anniversary, Hotel Mahima Semarang demonstrated its environmental concern through a tree-planting initiative in the Puncak Suroloyo area, Mount Ungaran, Semarang Regency. The event, titled 'Sparkle for Earth' and held on July 4, 2026, carried the spirit of 'Growing Tomorrow Together' to keep the forest ecosystem green.
Cluster General Manager of Mahima Hotel, Lia Retno S. Hardini, revealed that this initiative is part of the 'Sparkle at Sixperience' program series. According to her, this six-year milestone serves as a moment of reflection for the hotel to not merely be an accommodation provider, but also an entity that brings a positive impact to the community and surrounding nature.
"We want to be pioneers in preserving forest sustainability, especially in the Semarang Regency area. Hopefully, Mahima Hotel can continue to grow as a place that provides tangible benefits to the environment while remaining the top choice for guests prioritizing comfort," Lia said.
In addition to the reforestation effort, the 6th anniversary celebration was also filled with various activities touching on togetherness and health. The event lineup included an internal padel sport tournament, a six-kilometer 'Chill Miles Vol. 2 Fun Run', as well as social initiatives such as blood donation and free health check-ups for employees in collaboration with medical authorities and strategic partners.
The entire series of events will later conclude with 'The Great Experience' program. The activity is designed as a form of appreciation for the dedication of all staff, as well as a reflective moment on the hotel's long journey in providing the best service over the past six years.
