The appointment of Rapih Herdiansyah as Commissioner of PT Pelabuhan Cilegon Mandiri (PCM) in June 2026 marks a new chapter in the management of this strategic Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD). Starting his career in journalism, Rapih brings a broad leadership portfolio spanning politics, academia, and national-level government.
Rapih's professional journey began in 2004 as a young journalist at the Fajar Banten Daily (now Kabar Banten). His career in the press was highly successful, proven by winning an outstanding journalist award in 2007. He also strengthened Banten TV as the News Division Coordinator before eventually entering the entrepreneurial world by founding the news media company NEWSMEDIA and the political communication consulting firm Banten Cendekia Institute.
In the public and government sectors, the Master of Communication Science graduate from Mercu Buana University has extensive experience. For nearly a decade, Rapih was trusted as an Expert Staff in the Banten Provincial DPRD to the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). His career at the national level was further solidified when he was appointed as the Expert Team for the Member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2019-2022 period, assisting Muhamad Mardiono.
In addition to being active in government and business, the Tangerang-born man also shares his knowledge in academia as a guest lecturer at several universities in Banten, such as UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, Universitas Banten Jaya, and Universitas Serang Raya. His organizational experience is also extensive, ranging from the Association of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI) Banten to serving as the Secretary General of the Untirta Alumni Association (IKA).
After completing his service as Deputy Secretary General of the DPP United Development Party (PPP) at the end of 2025, Rapih is now focusing his energy on supervising the performance of PT PCM. As a commissioner, he emphasized the importance of implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and proactive supervision to drive the company's business expansion.
One of Rapih's main focuses is overseeing the realization of the Warnasari Port construction, which stands on a 45-hectare plot of land. This strategic project is believed to become a new engine for increasing Cilegon's Regional Original Revenue (PAD) and providing a tangible economic impact on the welfare of the local community.
