The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) continues to intensify its strategic collaboration with Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI) to drive business transformation and modernize the hajj service ecosystem. This step is expected to deliver a more integrated service system and provide convenience for prospective hajj pilgrims in the country.
The commitment to strengthening this partnership was reaffirmed by BPKH Executive Board Member Harry Alexander during a coordination meeting to increase new hajj registrations held in Yogyakarta. According to Harry, the established synergy is not merely a formal relationship between institutions, but a strategic step to create faster, more efficient, and high-quality hajj services.
In an effort to support digital transformation, BPKH is currently integrating the BPKH Apps with Bank Muamalat's banking system. Through this integration, the process of opening initial deposit accounts as well as final hajj payments can now be accessed digitally. This step is projected to expand new customer acquisition and increase the bank's margin income from hajj savings products.
In addition to service digitalization, BPKH and Bank Muamalat are also focusing on optimizing the management of hajj financial liquidity. Effective management of deposit funds is expected to strengthen Bank Muamalat's funding structure, which will ultimately increase the bank's capacity to distribute sustainable financing.
This collaboration also includes the development of Bank Muamalat's digital payment gateway connected with various strategic partners. This initiative not only expands transaction access for the public but also has the potential to increase fee-based income for Bank Muamalat as a key partner in the national hajj ecosystem.
