PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) officially completed the streamlining process of 10 subsidiary entities in the first half of 2026. This strategic step is an integral part of the company's transformation roadmap titled 'Telkom 30', which focuses on business portfolio restructuring through entity role optimization, operational overlap elimination, and non-core business unit divestment.
This portfolio restructuring was carried out through various corporate mechanisms, including divestments, mergers, and liquidations. The initiative aims to streamline the group structure into a leaner and more efficient one, while strengthening Telkom's role from a mere Operating Holding to a Strategic Holding. With the Holding Company-Operating Company (HoldCo-OpCo) model, Telkom will concentrate its functions on portfolio management and governance, while operational activities are entrusted to entities that focus more on B2C segments, B2B infrastructure, ICT, and international business.
Telkom's Director of Strategic Business Development & Portfolio, Seno Soemadji, emphasized that this step was taken to build a more agile organization in responding to the dynamics of the global digital industry. According to him, the courage to reorganize is key for Telkom to allocate investments optimally and ensure higher-quality business growth in the future.
By the end of June 2026, the implementation of streamlining includes divestments of two entities, vertical mergers of two entities, and the liquidation of six other entities. Seno ensured that the entire process was conducted in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and Business Judgment Rule (BJR), as well as through intensive coordination with stakeholders, including the Attorney General's Office and the Ministry of SOEs (BUMN), to ensure strict legal compliance.
On the other hand, Telkom is also paying full attention to human resources. The company is committed to carrying out workforce adjustments responsibly, including through early retirement programs (ERP) for employees at the OpCo level. This approach is carried out by mutual agreement with the goal of creating a more productive and adaptive work ecosystem, as well as strengthening the company's digital talent capabilities for the future.
