The Yonif 511/DY Border Patrol Task Force (Satgas Pamtas) has taken proactive steps to support community welfare in the Highland Papua region. Through a door-to-door healthcare service program, TNI soldiers provided free medical treatment to residents of Karubaga Village, Karubaga District, Tolikara Regency.
The Health Non-Commissioned Officer of Karubaga Kout Post, Sergeant Second Class (Serda) Foutuho, explained that this initiative is an expression of the TNI's care for residents in their assigned area. Given the limited medical infrastructure in the region, the presence of a mobile health team serves as a crucial solution for residents requiring immediate medical attention.
During its implementation, the medical team conducted a series of basic check-ups, such as blood pressure checks, vitamin distribution, and treatment for residents experiencing health complaints. Beyond clinical aspects, the soldiers also provided education on clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) as a preventive measure to maintain family health in their respective environments.
More than just medical care, this activity served as a means to strengthen ties between TNI personnel and the local community. Serda Foutuho emphasized that the Yonif 511/DY Task Force's commitment extends beyond territorial security duties, striving to consistently serve as a solution to community challenges.
The initiative received positive responses from the local community. Monde Maliki, a resident of Karubaga Village, expressed deep appreciation for the soldiers' dedication. He stated that the presence of these free medical services greatly assists the community in obtaining proper and affordable healthcare.
