Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, asserted that the acceleration of the digital economy in Indonesia must be carried out holistically. She emphasized that technological progress should not only be oriented toward economic growth figures, but must also align with the preservation of the nation's noble cultural values.
During her visit to the Ministry of Culture Office in Central Jakarta, Meutya conveyed the urgency of protection for the younger generation. According to her, amidst the rapid flow of global information and technology, national character serves as the main fortress so that society does not lose its national identity due to the impact of digital disruption.
This strategic meeting with the Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, marks the initial step in strengthening cross-sectoral synergy. Both agreed to integrate the development of a modern digital ecosystem with concrete efforts to preserve and promote Indonesia's rich cultural heritage in the virtual realm.
