PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN) has officially declared its support for the hosting of the XII West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV), scheduled to take place in 2026. This step is taken not only to advance regional sports achievements but also to serve as a driving force for the creative economy sector and the preservation of local culture.

AMMAN's Vice President of Policy & Permitting and Social Impact, Priyo Pramono, explained that the company's active participation in this quadrennial sports event is an integral part of its commitment to growing alongside the community. Through PORPROV, AMMAN aims to create a collaborative space capable of blending the spirit of healthy competition with regional pride.

Interestingly, AMMAN's commitment is not limited to financial and operational support. A number of employees from this copper and gold mining company will also be deployed directly as athletes representing the region in various sports, such as golf, archery, boxing, aerosports, and swimming. This involvement reflects the company's commitment to encouraging a balance between work professionalism and an active lifestyle.

Support for PORPROV XII NTB 2026 also aligns with the Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) championed by AMMAN. Through the 'Sports for Development' initiative, the company focuses on nurturing young talent in West Sumbawa by improving the capacity of local coaches and referees. In addition, the economic empowerment pillar is realized through strengthening MSMEs, one of which is the training of traditional weavers to boost the quality of local handicraft products.

This multi-sport event organized by KONI NTB is projected to be a crucial stepping stone for local athletes to hone their skills. In addition to competing for the best titles at the provincial level, PORPROV XII is also an important part of the NTB contingent's preparation for the grand event of the XXII National Sports Week (PON) Nusa Tenggara in 2028.
