The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) has realized its support for improving the quality of life of the people of Lampung through the distribution of social assistance. The aid, which targets the education and environmental health sectors, was symbolically handed over during the recess working visit of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI).
The distribution of the Kemaslahatan Program is fully funded by the returns on the management of the Ummah Eternal Fund (DAU). The Head of the BPKH Executive Board, Fadlul Imansyah, explained that this program is designed transparently and accountably to deliver tangible impacts felt directly by the community, in accordance with the mandate of the law.
In the field of education, BPKH distributed scholarships to a number of university students from various higher education institutions in Lampung Province. The scholarship program, which has been running since 2024, aims to expand access to higher education while supporting the development of local human resources.
Meanwhile, in the health sector, BPKH initiated the construction of sanitation facilities in the form of toilets and ablution areas in five strategic locations, including Islamic boarding school environments. This sanitation infrastructure is expected to encourage the practice of clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) and provide extra comfort in learning and worship activities.
Through close partnerships with various stakeholders, BPKH is committed to expanding the distribution of benefits from the DAU management so that its sustainability can support the welfare of the Indonesian people in the long run.
