Blockchain-based financial technology company Ripple has officially announced a funding commitment of $250,000 to support the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) founded by military veterans and their spouses in the United States. The program targets 25 selected business owners, each of whom will receive a grant of $10,000 along with an intensive mentorship program.
This strategic move is designed to address various financial and operational obstacles often faced by former military members when transitioning back to civilian life. Beyond fresh capital, Ripple is collaborating with an employer network to provide structured business coaching to ensure the sustainability of the beneficiaries' businesses.
This empowerment initiative also reflects the expansion of Ripple's corporate social responsibility (CSR) portfolio beyond the blockchain technology and crypto asset sectors. Through this philanthropic program, the company aims to strengthen the economic resilience of local communities while creating a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
