Addressing range anxiety in electric vehicles, iCAR has introduced its latest lineup, the iCAR V27. This rugged SUV is equipped with the innovative Golden Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology, specifically designed for seamless long-distance travel.

The working mechanism of the Golden REEV technology in the iCAR V27 differs from conventional hybrid systems. The vehicle's wheels are driven entirely by electric motors, while the 1.5L Turbo internal combustion engine functions solely as a generator to produce electricity and charge the battery when needed. This approach ensures drivers still experience the responsive and quiet driving sensation typical of a pure electric vehicle.

Product Planning Manager of iCAR Indonesia, Tommy Hermansyah, explained that this technology was developed so consumers can enjoy driving efficiency without worrying about remaining battery power. For daily mobility, the car can travel up to approximately 200 kilometers in pure electric mode. However, for out-of-town trips, the combination of the battery and a 60-liter fuel tank can produce a total range of more than 1,200 kilometers based on CLTC testing.

In addition to its extraordinary range, the SUV also supports DC Fast Charging, which can charge the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. In terms of performance, the iCAR V27 is equipped with a Three-Motor True Electric AWD drive system that generates a combined output of 335 kW (455 PS) and a peak torque of 505 Nm. As a result, acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h can be achieved in a brief 5.9 seconds.

To support durability in various road conditions, iCAR has incorporated an advanced Hollow Cast Aluminum H-Arm suspension for optimal stability. The vehicle is also equipped with a Wade Mode to traverse water depths of up to 600 mm, enhanced by advanced safety features such as Automatic Braking Drying to dry the brake discs, and a 540° Transparent Chassis monitoring camera to precisely detect obstacles beneath the car.
