The Pontianak City Health Office officially introduced a new health service innovation titled Mobile Free Health Check (CKG). This program, initiated by the Kom Yos Sudarso Community Health Center (Puskesmas), is designed as a solution for residents who face time or distance constraints in visiting conventional healthcare facilities.
Through an active outreach scheme, medical teams will go directly to various crowded hubs, such as supermarkets, minimarkets, bazaar areas, and posyandu (integrated service post) activities. This step was taken to ensure that all segments of society, from toddlers to the elderly, gain easy access to health checkups without having to travel long distances to a health center.
The Mobile CKG service offers various types of comprehensive examinations free of charge. Residents can access screenings for various communicable and non-communicable diseases, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar levels, tuberculosis (TB) screening, and mental health assessments. In addition to physical exams, medical personnel will also provide education on healthy lifestyles as a preventive measure.
Head of the Pontianak City Health Office, Saptiko, emphasized that early detection is the main pillar in maintaining community health quality. According to him, identifying health conditions early allows for faster and more effective medical action, minimizing the risk of severe disease complications.
This program is a tangible manifestation of the Pontianak City Government's commitment to providing inclusive and equitable healthcare services. The department invites all residents to actively take advantage of the Mobile CKG team's presence when encountering them in public spaces to ensure the community's health status remains well-monitored.
