The Lembang Sectoral Police have tightened supervision in several natural tourist destinations, one of which is the GBM Camping Site located in Gunung Putri Hamlet, Jayagiri Village, West Bandung Regency. This preventive measure was taken in an effort to suppress the potential for public security and order disturbances during the school holiday and weekend period, which is predicted to experience a surge in visitors.
Lembang Police Bhabinkamtibmas, Aiptu Ayi Saptaji, directly went to the field to monitor the situation while establishing communication with tourism managers, including representatives from KTH Wisata Desa Jayagiri and LMDH. This synergy is considered crucial to ensure that all tourism operations continue to run conductively and safely for camping families.
Lembang Police Chief, AKP Dana Suhenda, emphasized that the presence of police personnel at tourist locations is a form of service to provide peace of mind for tourists. He instructed managers to proactively socialize safety appeals through loudspeakers, including maintaining the cleanliness and security aspects of the location facilities.
Furthermore, the police also provided education to tourists to remain vigilant about their personal belongings, especially when leaving vehicles to camp. Visitors are asked to always monitor their children and follow all directions from field officers, especially if extreme weather changes occur that are dangerous.
As an emergency anticipatory step, the police appealed to the public to immediately contact the 110 Call Center service or the 'Lapor Pak Kapolres Cimahi' (Report to the Cimahi Police Chief) facility if they encounter obstacles or situations that require the immediate presence of police officers at tourist locations.
