UPT Puskesmas Pangkajene, located in Maritengngae District, Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) Regency, has officially registered seven innovation programs with the local Regional Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bapperida). This step was taken as a strategic effort to modernize governance and the quality of healthcare services for the community.
The seven innovations are the creations of local healthcare workers, specifically designed to respond to health issues in the field. These programs include ANJANG SANA ANJANG SINI, KANTONG MANTAP JIWA, MALAMPESUNGEKI, PENDAMPING BEKAS, PERI GIGI, SIPAMMASE-MASEKI', and SIPITKI. Each program targets a specific group, ranging from the elderly, patients with mental disorders, hypertension and diabetes sufferers, to pharmaceutical management systems and QR Code-based information technology infrastructure.
The Head of UPT Puskesmas Pangkajene, dr. Mariana, M.Kes., explained that all of these breakthroughs were born from the reality of residents' needs and evaluations by officers in the field. According to her, these innovations are focused on making health services more inclusive, easily accessible, and targeted according to the patient needs profile in the region.
Furthermore, the Health Center hopes that the registration of these innovations is not just a formality, but a sustainable commitment. The presence of these programs is expected to strengthen the culture of innovation in Sidrap Regency while contributing significantly to the increase of the Regional Innovation Index for the broader community's welfare.
