PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, or InJourney Airports, successfully recorded positive financial performance in the first half of 2026. The state-owned airport operator recorded total revenue of IDR 10.23 trillion in H1 2026, growing by 3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. This achievement demonstrates the company's resilience amid the various challenges of a dynamic global aviation industry.
President Director of InJourney Airports, Mohammad Rizal Pahlevi, revealed that the success in maintaining this growth trend is a tangible result of the corporate transformation process currently being carried out under the coordination of Danantara. This strategic step is designed to strengthen the company's business portfolio in both the aeronautical and non-aeronautical sectors to create sustainable added value for the national aviation industry.
The non-aeronautical sector has now emerged as the main driver of InJourney Airports' business growth. Through facility beautification programs and tenant mix restructuring in the commercial areas of major airports, the company successfully boosted the contribution of the non-aeronautical business to 38 percent of total operating revenues. This figure is a significant increase from the previous share of only around 30 percent when managed separately by Angkasa Pura I and Angkasa Pura II.
This commercial expansion is clearly visible in the reorganization of Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, as well as the implementation of the shopping arcade concept in Terminal 1C, which can now be accessed by the public before passing the security checkpoints. Meanwhile, Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has implemented a single-flow concept featuring various global brand outlets, while also accelerating the departure process by adding security screening facilities and improving airport access.
Not to be outdone, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar also contributed through the operation of a new terminal with a capacity of 15.5 million passengers per year since late 2025. On the other hand, InJourney Airports is also actively synergizing with the Ministry of Transportation and international partners, including participating in the Routes Asia 2026 event in China, to attract foreign airlines to open new routes to Indonesia to boost the national tourism sector.
