The second-place title was secured by the badminton mixed doubles pair from Datokarama State Islamic University (UIN) Palu, Bintang and Djagad Aryadhinata, in the IV Eastern Indonesia Sports, Research, and Arts Week (Poros Intim). Both had to concede their opponent's superiority after undergoing a fierce final match at the Central Palu court, Central Sulawesi, on Thursday (9/7/2026).
In a dramatic final match, the host pair was forced to acknowledge the toughness of the athlete duo from the Pare-pare State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN), namely Muhammad Rifky Wahab and Asmaul Husna. The match ended in UIN Datokarama's defeat through a rubber game scheme, highlighting the fierce competition among state Islamic religious higher education institutions in eastern Indonesia.
The Poros Intim IV event, held from July 6 to 11, 2026, at the UIN Datokarama campus, is not merely a stage to prove athletic ability. This competition serves as an integrative platform for the academic community from various regions to foster sportsmanship, research collaboration, and strengthen Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah) among PTKIN students.
