SURABAYA – In commemoration of its 11th anniversary, Best Western De Papilio Surabaya organized a social activity featuring free blood donations and health checks. This humanitarian action, which took place on Wednesday (29/7/2026), was aimed at hotel employees as well as the general public as a form of care for the health of others.
To ensure the success of this event, the hotel collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Surabaya City and several leading medical partners. Some of the free health services provided included eye examinations by Optik Pitu, blood sugar tests from RSU Bakti Rahayu, and body condition analysis using Quantum Resonance Magnetic Analyzer (QRMA) technology from Kimia Farma.
This social event successfully gathered around 50 blood donor participants aged between 30 and 60 years. As appreciation for their participation, the committee distributed attractive gift bags from sponsors, free snacks, and the chance to win vouchers for the swimming pool facilities at Best Western De Papilio Surabaya.
The representative of PMI Surabaya City, Dr. Diah Fitriartantri, expressed her appreciation for this initiative. According to her, the hotel's anniversary celebration served as a highly positive platform for local residents to donate blood. She hopes that similar collaborations will continue consistently to inspire other institutions to carry out humanitarian movements.
Meanwhile, the Acting General Manager of Best Western De Papilio Surabaya, Suryono, stated that this activity is a form of gratitude for the support and trust given by guests, business partners, and the community during the hotel's 11 years of operation. The management is committed to continuing to present beneficial social programs and improving service innovations in the future.
