The Banten Provincial Government has recorded significant progress in the implementation of the Free Health Check (CKG) program. Out of a target of 5.9 million people, this priority program established by the central government has reached 5.1 million residents, placing Banten in the national top three for healthcare service achievements.
To ensure the program runs effectively and targets the right recipients, Banten Governor Andra Soni actively and regularly reviews the implementation of the CKG directly in various regions. One of the inspections was conducted at the Puri Beta Sports Hall (GOR) in Larangan District, Tangerang City, which was attended by around 800 local residents who enthusiastically came to check their physical condition.
Tangerang City itself was recorded as the area with the highest achievement in Banten Province, with realization reaching 98 percent of the national target. This success is considered the result of strong collaboration and mutual cooperation between district/municipal governments and healthcare workers from both the public and private sectors.
Based on the results of on-site medical screenings, degenerative diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus dominated the findings. In this regard, Andra urged the public not to hesitate to get checked regularly so that early detection and follow-up medical treatment can be immediately carried out by local health workers.
To guarantee equal access, the Banten Provincial Government is now expanding the CKG scheme by optimizing community health centers (Puskesmas), schools from primary to upper secondary levels, and providing mobile telemedicine services. This proactive outreach service focuses on reaching remote villages as well as specific indigenous communities such as the Baduy people.
