Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2026 has officially concluded, recording impressive achievements. During the 32 days of the event from June 11 to July 12, 2026, the largest multi-product exhibition in Southeast Asia successfully attracted 6.1 million visitors, with the total transaction value reaching IDR 8.2 trillion. Behind the grandeur of the exhibition, which featured more than 2,800 companies, lay major operational challenges in managing the mobility dynamics of millions of vehicles in the JIExpo Kemayoran area.
Managing vehicle movement in a massive-scale event demands a system that is far more flexible than parking management in standard commercial areas. Secure Parking Indonesia (SPI), as the parking services operator at the venue, implemented a 24-hour operational pattern by optimizing access on the east, north, and west sides. Dozens of vehicle entry and exit gates were prepared to ensure smooth traffic circulation, especially following the implementation of the street parking ban policy around the JIExpo area.
Operational challenges grew more complex due to visitor patterns that shifted daily. To respond to this dynamic, SPI deployed up to 293 personnel on weekends and 237 personnel on weekdays to anticipate queue congestion. Andiyanto, General Manager of Operations at SPI, emphasized that the main key to successful parking management at major events lies in the field team's ability to read situations in real-time and take preventive actions before congestion occurs.
Mobility management has now transformed into the backbone of a successful event. Rustam Rachmat, Managing Director of SPI, stated that visitor comfort begins the moment they step into the exhibition area. When supporting infrastructure, especially parking management, runs in an orderly and organized manner, the overall event ecosystem operates far more effectively.
The success of the Jakarta Fair 2026 reflects that the quality of a major event is measured not only by what happens inside the exhibition booths or on the entertainment stages. The role of the supporting system working behind the scenes, ensuring smooth visitor accessibility from arrival to departure, becomes a crucial element that allows millions of people to enjoy the event comfortably and orderly.
