The Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmanto, reaffirmed the local government's commitment to advancing the sports sector by strengthening synergy with the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of Bogor Regency. This step was taken as a strategic effort to create a sustainable and competitive athlete development ecosystem.
During a meeting held at the Regent's Pavilion on Tuesday (7/7/2026), Rudy stated that success in the sports sector requires solid collaboration between the government, coaches, and related stakeholders. According to him, the achievements of the athletes are not just about winning medals but are a reflection of regional and national dignity on a broader stage.
Furthermore, the Regent emphasized that the Bogor Regency Government will continue to provide full support to ensure consistent athlete development. It is hoped that this step will nurture superior talents capable of bringing honor to Bogor Regency in various prestigious events, including at the international level.
In response, the Chairman of KONI Bogor Regency, Arif Rochmawan, welcomed the local government's attention. This meeting also served as a crucial coordination platform for KONI in finalizing preparations ahead of the upcoming 2026 Provincial Sports Week (Porprov).
Arif stated that moral and material support from the local government is the main stimulus for KONI management to optimally prepare the athletes. This synergy is believed to be a strong foundation for boosting the performance of the Bogor Regency team in the upcoming provincial-level sports competition.
